Burnham Park

The center of Baguio life.

Burnham Park

Burnham Park is Baguio's central public space — 32 hectares of greenery, walking paths, and a man-made lake right in the city center. It's where families gather on weekends, where joggers run in the early mornings, and where the city's energy concentrates.

The Burnham Lake at the center has paddle boats (PHP 100 per 30 minutes). Boats are shaped like swans, ducks, and various cartoon characters. It's touristy but the kind of touristy that locals participate in too.

Surrounding the park are Melvin Jones Grandstand (food vendors at sunset), the Skating Rink (rollerblades for rent), the Children's Playground, and the Rose Garden. The park hosts the annual Panagbenga Flower Festival float parade every February — when Burnham becomes the heart of the largest festival in the Cordillera.

It's free, walkable, and the natural starting point for any first visit to Baguio. Combine with Session Road for a half-day in the city center.
