Siquijor is a small island province with a reputation for folk magic, faith healers, and old-Philippines mysticism. From Dumaguete, ferries take 1 hour to Siquijor port.
The island highlights include Cambugahay Falls (multi-tiered turquoise pools), Salagdoong Beach (white sand with cliff jumping), the 400-year-old Balete Tree (ancient and atmospheric), and various traditional healer villages in San Antonio where you can witness the herbal healing traditions still practiced.
Ferries from Dumaguete to Siquijor run hourly via OceanJet or Montenegro. Round-trip ticket is PHP 280-500. Renting a scooter on Siquijor (PHP 300-500/day) is the standard way to explore.
