Lighthouse Walk
A 20-minute walk to the island's scenic viewpoint.
Malapascua's old lighthouse sits on a small hill on the northern tip of the island — a 20-minute walk from Bounty Beach. The lighthouse itself is small and weathered, but the views from the surrounding cliff are the best on the island.
The walk goes through small local villages, palm groves, and the island's only 'main road' (a concrete path wide enough for one motorbike). You'll pass houses, churches, and the island elementary school. The contrast with the diving resort strip is striking — this is the local Malapascua most tourists never see.
Sunset is the time to go. The lighthouse faces west and the cliff edge gives a 180-degree view of the sea and the smaller islands offshore.
Bring water and a flashlight if you stay until dark (the walk back is unlit).
