Loboc River Cruise

Floating lunch buffet on a jungle river.

Loboc River Cruise

The Loboc River cruise is a Bohol classic — boats rigged as floating restaurants drift slowly down the Loboc River while you eat lunch and watch jungle slide past. It's touristy but genuinely scenic.

The cruise lasts about 90 minutes round-trip. The buffet is decent (local dishes, some grilled meats, fruit) but no one comes for the food. The river is wide, calm, and lined with dense vegetation. Sometimes children from riverside villages perform traditional music when boats stop briefly.

The cruise departs from Loay or Loboc (different boat operators). Cost is PHP 450-650 per person including lunch. Tours typically run from 11 AM to 2 PM to coincide with lunchtime.

Combine with the Man-Made Forest nearby — a 2km stretch of road through dense planted mahogany trees that looks like driving through a green tunnel. Standard stop on the Bohol countryside tour.
