Guimaras Island Day Trip
World-famous mangoes and white-sand islands, 15 minutes away.
Guimaras is a small island province just across the Iloilo Strait — reached by 15-minute pump boat from Iloilo's Ortiz Wharf (PHP 30 per person). It's famous for two things: producing the sweetest mangoes in the Philippines, and a string of pretty white-sand beaches.
Mango farms welcome visitors during peak season (March-June). The Trappist Monastery sells mango jam, mango butter, mango cookies, and various Trappist-made products. The Guimaras Mango Festival in May is the island's main event.
Beach-wise, the most famous are Alubihod Beach (white sand, calm water, family-friendly) and the various Seven Sins Islands offshore.
A full Guimaras day trip from Iloilo runs PHP 2,500-4,000 per person. Solo travelers can DIY it for under PHP 1,500.
